5 steps to Rendin protection payout:

Check these five simple steps that will happen for you to receive a payout in case of damages or missing payments.

1. Rental Termination

Day 1: The rental is ending

  • The landlord and tenant check the apartment, documenting any damages or outstanding payments.

Estimated time: Less than 1 day

  • Usually, it takes 30 to 60 minutes to take over the property and document damages or payment issues.

Required actions:

  • The landlord gathers evidence of damages (return protocol, photo documentation) or outstanding payments (bills) and asks the tenant to pay what should be paid.

  • If a tenant refuses to pay, the landlord proceeds with the 2nd step "Debt Reminder"

2. Debt Reminder

Day 2: Official debt reminder

  • The landlord issues an official debt reminder to the tenant. The tenant must have a chance to repay the obligation.

  • If you need help, ask us for templates of Debt reminders, we are here for you.

Estimated time:

  • Takes 1-2 days + waiting time (14-30 days - it is a time needed to make sure that a tenant is properly informed and aware of debt to have a chance to pay it back)

Required actions:

  • Simply gather evidence of:

    • Outstanding payments

    • Damages

Inform about outstanding debt a tenant and us.

3. Documents Evaluation

Day 3: Document Evaluation

  • We are recognizing claims and evaluate the provided documents and once they are fine, the debt assignment agreement is prepared for signing.

  • Documents are fine if they are complete and consist of elements mentioned in the 2nd step above.

Estimated time:

  • Takes 1-2 days with complete documents provided to Rendin. Can take more, if the documents are not complete (use our support as early as possible).

  • The next step is waiting time until the end of the landlord’s debt reminder timeframe (mentioned in the 2nd step above).

Required actions:

  • No actions are required from the landlord.

  • If any documents are lacking our legal department will contact you. Make sure to provide them as fast as possible then not slow the compensation payment time.

4. Assignment agreement signing (tenant's debt acquisition)

Day 17 (or 33): Assignment agreement preparation

  • The assignment agreement is prepared by Rendin and sent for digital signing by both parties (Rendin and the landlord).

Estimated time:

  • Takes 1-3 days to prepare an assignment agreement and get it signed by both parties.

Required actions:

  • Just ensure that the assignment agreement is correct and signed.

5. Final Payment

Last day

  • Usually around the 20th or 35th day depending on the case (mentioned in the previous steps)

  • A bank transfer for the tenant’s outstanding payments and/or damages caused by the tenant as your compensation for rental losses.

You can continue renting without losses. Recovering the debt from the tenant is now our responsibility.
